My View, Your View, Our View
My View, Your View, Our View
Inspired by memories of her time in New York City, Madeline draws on the constant feeling of looking out her window and using her memories to fill in the blanks. Incorporating elements such as cement and concrete, Madeline aims to bring the essence of NYC to the view. This piece represents the windowsill in which she would look out of over this past few years, using her imagination to bring back colour where she could. It is named ‘My View, Your View, Our View’ as a reminder that although isolated, we are isolating together.
1000mmx1000mm - This piece is currently framed with a handmade/hand-stained ‘window’ off white solid frame.
The ‘LATE’ Series -Inspired by the struggle that everyone has felt over the last 18 months, on a societal, personal, emotional and mental level. We have all been struggling to find a light at the end of the tunnel, and so we have to create our own light. Madeline creates and builds their own light on a canvas, serving as a reminder that the light will come.
